Are families included in the treatment process?

Yes, families are strongly encouraged to be involved in all steps of process. There is also a concentrated weekend program, along with weekly family calls. Insight from the families of our clients is incorporated into the conceptualization and treatment of each individual who is admitted into our facility.

Can I have my cell phone and laptop?

Yes, you can bring your cell phone and laptop with you. Outside of treatment hours, you will be able to use them. The sober living homes we work with have WiFi available as well.

Do you support AA, NA, and similar 12-step programs?

Yes, our program is 12-step friendly; through incorporation and exposure to the philosophies of 12-step programs our clients have access to Celebrate Recovery, Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

Do you treat dual diagnosis?

Yes, through psychiatric evaluation and assessment you will be treated by highly qualified addiction clinicians and with a collegial, team approach.

Do you treat trauma?

Yes, through many different modalities. Our clinicians address the physical and mental symptoms of trauma in individual sessions via traditional psychotherapy. We also offer psychopharmacology treatment for trauma.

How do I choose the right rehab facility?

We don’t just get clients in and out of our doors. We walk the journey with you for an extended period of time. We are committed to walking with you as you transition back into the world, and we continue to be there for you to help you maintain your sobriety.

How long does treatment last?

Our continuum of care traditionally runs from 30 to 120 days up to six months, depending on the needs of the client. Our alumni program offers ongoing client support.

Is your program accredited?

Yes, we are licensed by Florida Department of Children and Families and are accredited by and exceed the standards set forth by the Joint Commission Accredited Health Organization (JACHO), which is the gold standard of treatment. We are also associated with the Better Business Bureau as well as Police Community Partners.

What happens after I complete treatment?

We have a transitional step-down process that allows clients to gradually step back into the world. Clients are also supported through integral phases of early recovery milestones, with alumni check-in support and access to therapists long after their stays here.

Do I have to detox before coming to Foundations Wellness Center?

Yes, we arrange for our clients to undergo detox in a medical facility with 24-hour supervision, where they can safely and comfortably weather the acute withdrawal phase. After approximately one to two weeks, clients come to our center for further treatment and to start rebuilding their lives.

What is treatment like (what should I expect)?

The first three to five days are the roughest – you are adjusting to life after detox – but soon after, as you settle into the program, you will experience group therapy, individual therapy, and medication management. You are learning how to balance work and life again, so you will have fun as you educate yourself and come to understand yourself better. We incorporate not just traditional methods, but you will also participate in experiential-based activities such as kayaking, biking, hiking, beach trips, snorkeling, et al.

What about food?

You will be able to go grocery shopping to purchase the food of your choice. Sober homes are equipped with full kitchens and the center is close to many restaurants. DoorDash, UberEats, and other similar services deliver to both the center and to the sober living homes.

Can I smoke cigarettes?

Yes, you can smoke outside the center, away from the doorways, and outside of the sober homes as well.

What should I bring (and not bring)?

We want you to be comfortable at Foundations Wellness Center. Our admissions team will orient you to our facility and let you know which items you should bring upon admission.

Once enrolling in our Cigna drug and alcohol rehab program, clients are expected to be committed to focusing on sobriety. Clients receive our full support and additional assistance every step of the way. Each day, clients will gain vital tools to help them progress, and, within 120 days in most cases, they will be ready to gain independent living
