Foundations Wellness Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce the addition of Aurora González, MS, CADC, as Clinical Director of our Addiction Treatment Program.

Meet Dr. González

González holds a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, from Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, PA, and a Master of Science, Clinical Psychology, from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. She is also a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC).

González brings to Foundations over 17 years of successful, exemplary experience in the field of addiction treatment across numerous domains including clinical care, program development, and administration.

Starting her career as a Primary Therapist at White Deer Run of Lancaster, González went on to serve as Clinical Supervisor for Recovery First, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  She then returned to Pennsylvania where she was employed as Program Supervisor, Gaudenzia Concept 90, Harrisburg, PA. There, she supervised a team of primary therapists and support staff of a 90-day inpatient drug and alcohol facility utilizing a therapeutic community model. Most recently, González was the Clinical Supervisor at Retreat at Lancaster County.

In addition to her substantial, in-depth experience in the treatment of addiction and mental health issues, González employs an individualized approach to both client care and staff development and supervision.

She is also a multi-faceted speaker and facilitator and is frequently called upon to be a panelist and a presenter on the topic of drug and alcohol addiction treatment and the treatment of families.

González has been recognized for her award-winning work many times and is a member of the Psi Chi National Psychology Honor Society.

“Aurora has a rare combination of excellent leadership and training skills, a client-centered philosophy, and a results-based treatment focus,” said Justin Baksh, MS, LMHC, LPC, MCAP and Executive Director for Foundations Wellness Center. “We are so happy to have her leading the way at our Pennsylvania facility.”

“I am excited to join Foundations Wellness Center in my new role,” said González. “I look forward to contributing to its continued growth.”

An avid sports fan, González plays on local softball, soccer, and basketball leagues in her spare time.  She also enthusiastically supports her teenage son in all his academic and athletic endeavors.
